Step 1: Welcome & Introduction 👋

As soon as you arrive at Titu’s sushi workshop, our friendly chef will greet you and introduce the class. You’ll get a brief overview of:

✔ The essential tools & ingredients for sushi-making


Don’t worry, you won’t need to bring anything! We provide all the ingredients, tools, and aprons, so you can focus on learning and having fun.


Step 2: Sushi Rice Preparation 🍚

Sushi starts with the rice, and our chef will teach you how to:

Season sushi rice with the perfect balance of vinegar, sugar, and salt

Shape rice properly so it holds together in rolls

Handle rice like a pro (without it sticking to your hands!)


Rice is the foundation of great sushi, and once you master this step, you’re ready to roll!

Step 3: Rolling Sushi Like a Pro 🔪

Now for the fun part...making sushi! You’ll learn how to roll three different types of sushi:

California Uramaki (8 pieces) – The famous “inside-out” roll

Avocado Hosomaki (6 pieces) – A simple, elegant sushi roll

Cucumber Hosomaki (6 pieces) – Light, refreshing, and easy to master


During this step, our chef will teach you:

How to use a bamboo rolling mat (makisu)

How to cut sushi cleanly for a beautiful presentation

Tips to prevent your rolls from falling apart
